The Tethered Self

We are each made up of a combination of different people who have entered into our lives at one point or another. We are our mothers, our fathers, our heros and our friends. We are those we despise and those we long to be. We are the small one offs we hear and run with — just as much as the pearls of wisdom your grandparents bestowed upon you hundreds of times as a child.
